A journey of taste: our Tuscan Cooking Classes

Tuscany is a full-bodied land like its wines, a land of farmers and housewives with roots in yesterday values. A land full of passions for the authentic things. As authentic is its cooking, delicious and unique in every recipe.

The Tuscan tradition is a happy marriage of ancient flavors and simple preparations. The ingredients are genuine but rich in taste: seasonal vegetables and legumes from the garden, homemade bread and nourishing cereals.

A cornerstone is homemade pasta, in different sizes - tagliatelle, pici, potato tortelli, ravioli stuffed with cheese – but all yummy. Still hot, the tagliatelle are dressed with hare sauce, the Mugello tortelli with the wild boar ragout, the ravioli are covered with fragrant truffle.

 

 

The meat dishes range from Florentine steak, cut in the Tuscan way, to hearty game dishes and white and black truffle specialties. The typical sweets have all the scents of home: from the pan di ramerino, with pine nuts and raisins, to migliacci and castagnaccio, prepared with chestnut flour.

The best way to bring home the delicacies tasted in Tuscany is to learn how to cook them by yourself whenever you want. That is why a cooking class of Tuscan cuisine is the ideal completion of your stay at the Monsignor della Casa Country Resort & Spa . In three exciting hours, our cook will teach you the techniques and the family tricks, helping you in the preparation of a Tuscan menu, from the first dish to a dessert. The dishes are simply delicious, the genuine ingredients and the recipes explained step by step: reproduce them at home will be very easy.

 

 

You will have all the time and space you need to learn: our cooking classes are private, with a maximum of 6 participants. During the "Mani in pasta" course, you can immerse yourself in the Tuscan flavors with your children or your partner, bringing unique memories with you. As unique are the scents of aromatic herbs you will find in our vegetable garden - from sage, to rosemary and marjoram - that will complete your recipes.

At the end of the cooking class, enjoy a lunch or a dinner with the dishes prepared by you and an excellent bottle of Chianti. What better end to an authentic Tuscan day?
